Update: I’ve been using Swiftgram for awhile and I can’t recommend it enough. There’s still some bugs left over from the original, but the enhanced customization makes it pretty easy to sweep my other grievances under the rug.

Oh I've also gotta present this diabolical EQ preset I crafted to silence the high-pitched buzzing my headset emits when my external battery is plugged in. I probably should just get a battery better suited for the power the Quest 3 requires, but still, would absolutely love to get away from this;

I'd love a solution that just plugs into my headset and doesn't require a seperate battery to worry about. But my Quest is just weirdly so limited when it comes to using USB microphones with it. Even testing the 3.5 mm jack with a mic input just outright wouldn't work... Raawghhh...

Out of the many reasons why I'm excited to have a Steam Frame, it's really just me finally having a quality built-in mic again.

I've been looking for a convenient way to use an external mic on my Quest 3 that isn't just dropping $130+ for a ModMic, but there's not much delivers for that niche use.

It's even better when attempting to use a wireless headset with SteamVR. There's this awesome bug where the dashboard will start artifacting violently if your overlay render settings are any lower than "high" settings, and it'll just have a full-blown seizure until the video encoder eventually dies.
