Ooh this IS a fun question.
I feel like the answer has to be a book I HAVENβT reread yet, because the second read is often the most rewarding for me. But one where I feel like I really missed stuff reading for plot. So, The Diamond Age?
I made myself finish Dune Messiah and I just couldnβt stomach the concept of pushing onβ¦does it get better?
01.03.2026 02:35 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Amazingly Unsheltered is what I had in mind as a minor work. Which proves my point!!
01.03.2026 02:31 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0Okay if you hate it or even if it leaves you cold please let me know β itβs just studded with sentences of beautiful insight about human relations which also feel true to the viewpoint characters in question, which I feel like is a Very Reader!Emily Thing
01.03.2026 02:24 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I am not a completist but in my experience even her minor works arenβt REALLY misses. Which, IDK that I can say that about any other novelist currently living??

GIRL (gn) FIX THAT
Terra Ignota is not space per se, and the first book is kind of chilly, but the ideas, and the way the prose works in allusions and language, and the most incredible sticking of a landing Iβve ever seen in a series, I SWEAR it is worth it
Added to queue!! also Emily have you read Bowlaway, I feel like you might really enjoy it if you have not
01.03.2026 02:13 β π 1 π 0 π¬ 1 π 0I assume youβve read @byzantienne.bsky.social βs Teixcalaan duology and @adapalmer.bsky.social βs Terra Ignota quartet then??

Itβs not my world, and a lot of the boosterism from corporate folks in OTHER industries is BS, but itβs a community with very smart thoughtful people.
