Hal Ashby and David Carradine riding the rails on the set of BOUND FOR GLORY (1976).

Ashby's very loose biopic of Woody Guthrie was nominated for six Oscars and won the Academy Award for Best Cinematography, largely due to being the first film to use the newly-invented Steadicam.

It’s really kind of a shame, because he didn’t create the company or the technology from the ground up, he just bought into it and invested in it. Now that he’s made himself a serious liability to the company, it would be wise to divest itself from him, if at all possible. Otherwise it’s curtains.

Sometimes much more than just a minute. A parody could easily be made of this phenomenon, with literally an hour of studio & production company logos and an actual movie of less than 10 minutes, followed by a half hour of end credits, interspersed with end credit scenes.
