After being one-hit wonders, they decide to take to the stage once more, & potentially never again! Remember to cherish this pop group while they last! We also have various additional references from "Toy To The World!", the sponsors of the show! Overall, in terms of music variety & sheer quantity, no show has quite the consistency of this show, given the dedication to including a song in every episode past the pilot! With 4 seasons worth of songs, everyone's bound to have a plethora of placements they'd make in a tier list. Currently, mine is "Robot Riot", given what it encapsulates & accompanies during what was our Avengers Endgame BEFORE Avengers Endgame! Feel free to share your favourite songs down below! Lastly, I'll discuss my hopes for future songs in future episodes + seasons. As someone who loves various techno-based genres (Drum & Bass, Synthwave, House, Electronic Rock, Melodic Dubstep, Trap & more), I'd love to hear songs with more meaning & clever writing that explore new territory. Above all, I believe no song is better incorporating than implementing it directly into the story! It's one of the most powerful plot-progressors out there & can be cleverly done by the Dwampyverse crew! I believe in you. :)

Day 13: ROCK CONCERTPALOOZA! [Vol 1-3, P 219]

In our first full-pager, we get an entire poster! There are plentiful references & callbacks galore, so let's explore & see what we have in store!

Those who've watched the show know how... expressive... her facial features can be. We've seen her maniacal, enraged, distressed, defeated & at least hundreds of other words that could describe her! Not much to say about this panel, other than this being one of her many, MANY attempts to bust the boys, which has her closer to CATU levels of defeat than usual! Since I've never discussed my Candace character analysis before, I'll do so below. From last summer to now, I find that her motives for busting her brothers have expanded beyond simple justice, preventing danger, or chasing that high of getting them in trouble. All good answers, but rather incomplete ones, at least to me. We know from Candace's theme song takeover that she craves validation, as well as attention via Baljeet's thorough analysis of her to Dr. Mosley Shamai from "Deconstructing Doof". There's some deeper psychological need for her that she internally wants to be satisfied. A core part of her identity latches onto the thrill & strategy of bringing her brothers "to justice" in her eyes. Paradoxically, there's some part of her that self-implodes when she's successful, as made evident by her dream in S1. On top of that, whatever lessons she learns about how much her brothers actually mean to her seemingly get thrown by the wayside the next day. Interestingly, though, I do believe a part of her subconscious does internalize these lessons, as made evident by S5 E13 where the human-mouthed horse she rides in her dream states that they're not such bad little fellas. My conclusion: I argue that Candace is by far the most psychologically complex character written in the entire Dwampyverse. It'll be interesting to follow her life into future years, as well as learn more about her past upbringing! Her biological father being abusive, inflicting trauma onto her & potentially Phineas too, is a real possibility! Do share your thoughts in the comments. Thanks for reading, as per usual! :)

Today's panel is a simpler one-pager, offering us a look into more essential, everyday operations at OWCA! The benefit of recruiting animal agents is that skill sets are diversified in ways human skills aren't! The most concerning part of this is that Carl was responsible for EATING INSECTS?! Where did they come from?! Does Francis have lice, or is there an infestation elsewhere?! Which one is worse?! You tell me, if you're up for it. I have a feeling that at least particular subsets of OWCA are an allegory for all this. I prophesize that an Agent P OWCA rebellion episode is on its way, where he finally stands up for himself! I do hope OWCA fundamentally changes for the better at the end of it, as we're seeing potential with the "Agent T (for Teen)" episode, where they actually let Stacy keep her memory after implementing the Donny Do-Good procedure! If you watched the episode, you'd know OWCA encourages using one's unique skill sets there, just like they did here! The key takeaway from this page is that it's okay to not take on the front-and-centre position of any particular organization. We constantly get conditioned to go above & beyond... for corporations that go below & even deeper to not fairly compensate such efforts. You're not less of a person for choosing a quiet, humble & fulfilling lifestyle, which is not what society wants out of you. In this late-stage capitalistic hellscape we're all in, tend to your needs & the well-being of others (where you healthily can) above all else!

A follow-up to Day 8! On the 2nd page, Doof commits his rare but impactful self-thwart, which shoots out one last beam aaaand... y'know the rest. The backyard five are hosting Perry's party & GROOVING OUT! This probably my favourite instance of them dancing where every single one of them are choreographed so well in a single frame! We also get a Phineas & Isabella frame, so obligatory #phinabella / #phinbella because every instance where they're beside one another is grounds for it. 😊

Straight into the action this time around! In these panels, "That's Snow Man, That's a Monster!", they backyard five face gasp in absolute horror as the colossus-sized snowman they built comes to life! In one giant, simple step, Isabella is already under an icy threat! Jagged, sharp icicles rain down from the overhang of the Flynn-Fletcher house. On instinct, (I'll call it his Izzy-Instinct!) Phineas leaps forward & head-first to protect her from them! Had he not gotten enough speed, he'd be harmed instead! Thankfully, by blessing & perhaps the skin of their teeth, they both managed to get to safety unscathed! Fun Fact: This comic ALSO appeared in my copy of "Phineas and Ferb's Guide to Life", so this, alongside "Happy Birthday, Perry!" was one of the few comics I actually grew up with! One thing you should know about me is that #phinabella / #phinbella will go down in history as one of my all-time favourite ships! I'd even go so far as to say Phineas & Isabella has one of the most well-written chemistries in all fiction! On Day 6, I discussed how Isabella & the Fireside Girls set a platinum standard for how important respect for women & girls are in this world! Equally true is how Phineas is the embodiment of how men & boys are to respect them, being the best blueprint of them all as a character! Instagram's character limit will not allow me to do him justice, so I'll save all that discussion for another day. All I'll say for now is that my love & gratitude for this Dorito & Pringle pair has expanded in MANY more dimensions than ever before! Undoubtedly, we will get more of them in S5 (we did!) & S6, for sure!

IT'S NOW SET FREE! 💙

Perry keeps getting caught by Doof's traps & swiftly escapes multiple times, but then gets caught in another trap he has to take a different approach to escape from: being caught & called out by Heinz himself! Just as Peter The Panda was Heinz's other nemesis, he's wondering if Perry is seeing another one as well. Perry decides to reveal the truth (if Heinz was not watching Perry change hats, he would NOT have assumed it was Perry) that it's his birthday (not to be confused by his anniversary). In an act of kindness (remember that Doof is a genuine good guy who TRIES to be evil), he lets Perry go to enjoy his day!

Day 8: Doof's Self-Thwart [Vol 1-3, P 46]

Doof begins with running his mouth against the other inmates & very quickly pseudo-regrets it, given that he STILL singles out a certain inmate as a lowlife! Not to worry, though! All he needs is a single "join forces and take over" argument to win them all back & save his skin! Works every time... somehow. Doof then describes his scheme, listing all the components he needs to build his GET-OUT-OF-JAIL-FREE-INATOR. We then switch to a high-speed backyard gang panel & EVERYONE'S feeling that wind power! Who's your favourite face? Ending off, Phineas is determined to break that record in typical Flynn-Fletcher fashion. I wonder what "really going for it" looks like & if it'll be similar to Ferb's skull being exposed as the skin on his head flaps open when he's driving the ride from outer space in "The Chronicles of Meap. Day 7: Doof in Jail + The Backyard Speed Gang! [Vol 1-3, P 15]

In our first Doof-focused plot, we see that OWCA actually makes an effort to incarcerate him!

The remaining five panels showcase five completely unique & hyper-specific skills! 1. Vertical Hiking: Admittedly the least surprising of them all, given how well they handled themselves at high altitudes. (I could never!) 2. Gorilla Bathing: Gotta bathe all the primates! We have the ever-popular "monkey-a-shower" activity from the intro, & also a Yeti as part of one of the Christmas specials! I wonder which one will be next to be cleansed? 🤔 3. Ancient Egyptian Pottery: This one, I'm the most confused about. It appears Gretchen is painting an exact reference of a broken Egyptian vase, shattered pieces & all. 4. A Tongue-Knotter Patch: This one's a fun, though less so for Adyson, since her tongue is quite literally in a knot. In Ferb's voice: "Sorry, Adyson". You could also add some variation of `DDash`, the first half of my current username, to the mix! 5. Saving a Polecat in A Specific Way: Holly, Katie & Milly work together for this rescue mission! To be transparent, I find these 3 don't get as much attention compared to the others. I do hope they get fleshed out more in future episodes. I am forever grateful for the existence of the Fireside Girls & ESPECIALLY Isabella in the show! The way they're written sets a platinum-standard precedent for how to respect women & girls, plus the importance of feminine energy & girl power! Ever since I could begin engaging with characters as a boy (5–7 years old & beyond), these girls are the reason I never fell deep into misogyny, always retaining a rock-solid level of admiration + respect for women & girls everywhere. I owe them & their creators my eternal gratitude. Here, Phineas approaches Isabella, going out of his way to ask if she's enjoying the party in his usual oblivious, clingy fashion. Of course, Isabella would get flustered & enter Phineas-land every single time, since he's always so respectful when he approaches. What a distinguished gentleman! One of the many, MANY reasons they're perfect for one another! 🥰 Isabella responds with... OH MY WORD, PHINEAS IS BALJEET?! AND ISABELLA IS BUFORD?! WHAT IS THIS?! SUBVERSIVE #bujeet SUBTERFUGE?! A SHIP DISGUISED AS ANOTHER SHIP?! WILL IT STILL SET SAIL?! WHAT'S IN THE WRITER'S HEADS?! LOOK AT THE ABJECT HORROR ON BUFORD'S (ISABELLA'S?!) FACE AS THEY APPROACH THE MACHINE THAT CAUSED THIS?! HOW DOES IT WORK?! We may never know... Truthfully, what happened here is that Baljeet was the one who approached who he thought was Isabella, intending to be the distinguished gentleman Phineas always is! I believe he's had feelings for Isabella, which come & go. Regardless, I'm sure that all of them are close enough with one another such that there's inherent trust with the sense of friendly touch between all of them. We've seen this in the original show's run numerous times. Remember that we maintain good-faith interpretations here! Healthy human touch has plenty of psychological benefits, which you can research on your own! While you're at it, do research healthy boundaries as well to implement respectful engagement practices with your peers at all times! :) Other details to note include a stray Carl & an Irving costume... aaaand I got nothing else!!!... #PhineasAndFerb S5 E20 REACTION! - End w/ A Vend, A Phinabellic Bend & Making Amends!

The finale delivers on all fronts. Everyone defends against the machines of vending, w/ an awe-inspiring action-emotion fusion we to take to heart. From mine to yours, TY for all your support in this adventure! 💙

We open with Isabella greeting Baljeet at an intersection. While she is head-over-heels for Phineas, it's very good to know she DOES take time to acknowledge & spend time with her other friends! I'd love to see more of their dynamic & how they overcome their challenges with the bros being absent, like in `The Haberdasher`! One of those friends comes out of left field to dispatch a mysterious bag with some sort of body wriggling inside. At this point, this is your typical Buford activity. We know from `Happy Birthday, Isabella!` (my favourite regular-length episode!) that Buford has handled bags with wriggling bodies inside them in the past, but that snatching Isabella away from the backyard (at the command of Phineas, FYI!) was the first time he actually knew who was in it. With this knowledge in mind, we now have (at least non-canonical) context as to Buford's earlier days of handling squirming bags. And by `handling` I mean offloading them to his friends & swiftly distancing himself from the situation! While this is out of left-field for Baljeet, I don't think I can say the same for Isabella, whose body bag is LARGER than Buford! I wonder if she has some sort of `live-bodybag-handling` patch which makes Buford believe she can handle herself better. The craziest part is, he may actually be right, given her incredible skill set! Beyond all this, your guesses as to what's going on here are as good as mine! 🤷

I have many thoughts on why society has gotten meaner on the whole, from people in power committing horrible atrocities to the need to hold one another accountable, to the necessity of harsh truths sometimes. My only comments on this for now will be that some use the harsh realities of the world as a justifier for being mean or rude to others under the guise of "tough love" or "social justice". I live in a household that operates under the former, while I push back via the latter. Suffice to say, I will need to unlearn some behaviours when I leave my household, as my progressive values clash with their decently right-wing ones. They're the type to care about the physical & financial well-being of their kids at the expense of everything. Such is living in a toxic, narcissistic household. My takeaway: She pulled it the look better here than in `The Candace Suit`. Look at how MANIACAL she is in the fourth panel! The squint at the bottom of both eyeballs matches that of the top of her mouth, indicating she's relishing every moment of her "successful" bust (it's not). Her menacing demeanour is only rivalled by Phineas' sheer anguish in the final panel as Candace mistakenly flies off. Once again (non-canonically at minimum), we see that Phineas shows very transparent & genuine concern for his mom's safety at least once before the Season 5 premiere. He really does care about the well-being of everyone at the end of the day! From this, it's clear that inspiration for episodes of Season 5 has been taken from both the original show's run & the comics. Some may call that lazy, but I call that clever in plenty of ways. Aspects of stories can indeed be respectfully copied, then rewritten & recontextualized to create a new one that carries on as its own identity, while still paying tribute to its original source material. Day 2: Candace(?) Busts The Boys(?) Via "The `Linda Fit`"(?) Approach(?) [Vol 1-3, P 16]

There is a TON to unpack here! First up, it's clear that Candace (at least in this alternate timeline, should the comics not be canon) HAS tried to bust the backyard five via a Mom disguise or costume before!

There is no problem. Not with a 3rd #PhineasAndFerb movie on the way!

Our journey begins in humble but not-so-subtle fashion, where Phineas leads the introduction as per usual! We also see Candace in her signature arced hand-on-hip, legs-straight-and-together-in-parallel, finger-pointing pose calling Mom to bust the boys. It's very interesting that Phineas calls out how Candace is high-strung right from the get-go! This is likely the first comic ever created, so it's quite telling that Phineas knows at least a little more than he usually lets on. Regardless, he absolutely has his mind set on making the most of every day above all else, so everything else comes & goes in passing. #phineasandferb #phineasflynn #ferbfletcher #candaceflynn
