Guardian interviewer/features writer, with a thing for prison and miscarriages of justice (well not a thing for them as such, a thing for writing about them). Proud Mancunian/Salfordian. City fan of some vintage

The case against Jeremy Bamber was built around the use of a silencer. Now, after 41 years in jail, one of Britain's top forensic physicians, commissioned by the Guardian, has analysed crime scene photographs and concluded that a silencer was not used

There are not many politicians (or people full stop) who have had a life like Labour's Naz Shah. She tells me all about it.

I think that's in breach of contract unless they explain (which is kinda irrelevant to you) that they will be doing the form for you and you're free to phone, walk in and book appointments as you used to. If you want to email me abt it I'm, on simon.hattenstone@theguardian.com

This is a piece on how my GP practice appeared to be misuing the new online booking service by suggesting it's the only way of making appointments. (ie not through phone or walk-in)
If something similar has happened to you, I'd be interested to hear about it.
