After nearly 10 years in Google Cloud, I've just started a new role in Google Labs! Switched to an individual contributor role to work on next-generation AI developer tools like Jules and Stitch. Finally, I have a genuine excuse to wear the Google Labs lab coat I got in 2009 😅

Was lucky enough to be able to go to the @warriorsofficial.bsky.social game last night. Fantastic bounce-back game and the energy at Chase when Buddy hit that 3 and on Draymond's dunk? Amazing.

In an excellent sign for Bluesky as a platform, my cats are already far more popular than I am. As it should be. This is Lily and Holmes plotting destruction during their first Christmas!

Some Personal News: This week I joined the Gemini Code Assist team in Google Cloud! I'll be leading the engineering team building genAI agents to assist developers.

We have some exciting things planned, but I'd really love to hear what sorts of code assistant agents you'd like to see and use!

That is my very favorite Google office! Amazing space to visit.

I found the Sky Follower Bridge Chrome extension really helpful to track down some of the folks I followed on Twitter who have moved over here. Enjoying the refreshed feed and *especially* people's replies, which seem 100% less toxic.

Next step: Maybe actually start posting again!
