Today’s #BravesCardoftheDay is knuckleballer Bob Tiefenauer. He played for MIL from ‘63-‘65. He was posthumously elected to the International League Hall of Fame in 2008. He also played for STL, CLE, HOU, NYY, and CHC. After his playing career, he coached in the PHI organization

I forgot to take a picture of the board today, but the Pack Rippers learned new vocabulary words, opened TTM’s, played games, traded cards, learned what RAK meant, had four RAK recipients in recognition of their kindness to others & opened a package from the @ny-yankees.bsky.social! It was awesome!

Today’s #BravesCardoftheDay is All Star Paul Casanova. He played for ATL from ‘72 to ‘74. He caught Phil Niekro's no-hitter on 8/5/73. After baseball, he created a baseball academy at his home in FL. It also became a gathering place for his former teammates & fellow Cuban players

My wife text me that her school gives out kindness awards weekly. 4 of the boys out of the card club were nominated. They were seen sharing cards with kids not in the card club that had been having hard days. THIS is what it’s about. Kindness breeding kindness. #thehobby #RAK

Today’s #BravesCardoftheDay is Ruben Quevedo. He was signed as an international free agent by the Atlanta Braves in 1995 & made it up to AAA before being traded to the Cubs. He played for CHC & MIL in the bigs. He was a Triple–A All-Star in 2001 while pitching for the Iowa Cubs.

Today’s #BravesCardoftheDay is Hal King. He played for ATL from ‘70-‘71. His best season in MLB was with the 1970 Braves. Appearing in 89 games, he had a .260 batting ave, 11 HR and 30 RBI. After two seasons with the Braves, he was sent to the Texas Rangers for Paul Casanova.

Today’s #BravesCardoftheDay is Luis Gohara. He played for ATL in ‘17-‘18. He is a Brazilian of Japanese descent. He spent the majority of his career in the minors. He was designated for assignment on July 31, 2019, to make room for newly acquired Shane Greene. It’s a cool card.

Glad that he’s going down to get playing time and continue to improve versus sitting on the bench. I like the kid, he just needs more time to grow his game in my opinion.
