I need incredibly long to "warm up" to new people or groups, because I first have to "scan and analyse" how they tick so I do not "overdo it" with me being me.
Main reason, why I prefer to be in longer projects at work.

It helped me that my granny was a teacher at my elementary school.
If I did not understood something or "fricked up" I could ask her OR the other teachers would tell her.
Didn't happen often thankfully, as most of my frick ups and misunderstandings were shoved to my hearing impairment.

In my case I think one of the ports is either dusty or the connector is not clean&stable enough.

Cable dead? Cut it and solder a new one onto it.
Big device dead? Frick... ask friend for help & trade skills

Stuff for the "business use-case" are literally built different.

The biggest BS are the glued in batteries in "smart" devices.
I have a friend who is very good at fixing stuff. But he refuses to do smartphones as they are way too finicky with the flimsy cables.
Everything else? No issue.

"replacing cuz short lived stuff" is mostly a thing for private consumers
