8th level = add 8 dice, die, and need special magic to get resurrected or take a permanent flaw after being raised from the dead.

Variant exhaustion rule idea for D&D:
Outta slots? Out of features?
-Take a level of exhaustion for a last-chance damage or spell slot.
For example: Take 3 levels of exhaustion to cast a L3 spell.
Cast a 7th level for immediate effect and then drop into death saves.
I ran the first dungeon from the Stranger Things D&D pack for a fundraiser event, first thoughts:
-It's great for beginners
-The players wrapped the dungeon in about 2.5 hours, but they were rolling really hot.
-Applejack is OP
it's nice how the art feels like that classic 90s style

Now that I've wrapped 2 multi-year campaigns, spanning more than 90 sessions, I feel a little exhausted.
Not done with VtM forever, but probably smaller, tighter stories from here on out instead of sprawling, meandering campaigns.

Season 2 followed the coterie as they worked to survive and stop a blood plague.
Season 3 was about politics. They toppled a prince, installed a new Baron & did battle with the Second Inquisition.
Season 4 was all about stopping the apocalypse & having mistakes come back to haunt you.
2/
We started in summer of 2022 playing a campaign that was intended to be 3-4 sessions long, where the players woke up in Vegas after a wild bachelor party, and discovered they were vampires.
They had a lotta fun & insisted we just keep going.
Season 1 was about introducing the rules & setting.
1/ phew! Just wrapped a 4 year long Vampire the Masquerade campaign.
Here's the tale of the tape:
-4 Seasons
-58 sessions (episodes)
->150 pages of game notes
-6 PC deaths
-47 NPCs w/ names died
-2 diableries
-2 princes toppled
-3 barons whacked
-2 methuselahs killed
-1 blood god defeated (sorta)
"An itchy asshole is beyond your abilities," Lyonel Baratheon, shitting on a Maester who says Dunk is dying.
What a great line. What a fantastic moment.
Give Lyonel a whole season to himself.
Knight in the Seven Kingdoms stuck the landing.
Best showing for the GoT cinematic universe so far.
I just looked him up, I didn't realize he's Canadian. Neat!

Last night I managed to land the plane on a 3-year-long #VtM campaign.
It was a riff on the story hooks from the Gehenna rulebook.
The coterie fought the fetal offspring of an Eldritch entity being summoned into their world by evil cultists.
You can create deep, rich #TTRPG settings with succinct descriptions and minimalist #worldbuilding. Come explore some ideas about simple worldbuilding that leads to complex living worlds that inspire play imaginations.

Really enjoying Starfleet Academy.
It's visually beautiful, the stories are fun and the characters feel like people you want to cheer for.
My only complaint is some of the dialogue audio is muffled in some scenes. Sounds like the LAV mic was rubbing against the jacket.
I really want the hoody.

We get so caught up in the trappings of efficient commerce - I know her work at the bookstore meant so much to us as new parents.
I hope our little moment of acknowledgement made her day.

I have photo memories pop up on my phone from her events; carving pumpkins, Easter egg painting, mom/baby story time from the book store.
She volunteered to build & run these free programs, & they were great little outings for us when we were living paycheque to paycheque.
She built community.

We were at the local bookstore this weekend & I mentioned to the lady ringing us out that we appreciated her story time arts and crafts events when our kids were little.
Her face lit up as we shared our memories, & she looked at my son & said, "I remember you & your red hair!"

My friends were organizing a D&D event, I'll be running a table for it.
The tickets are completely sold out (so pumped for them).
Two of the teams that missed the deadline asked about booking a GM for a private game & my friends referred me π

Last night I finished writing up the first-ish draft of a D&D adventure for another big event.
It's about 30 pages.
I include modified statblocks, loot tables, & lots of text for spells so the GM doesn't have to hunt in the PHB.
The goal is to make it simple to run & take 4 hours total.π«
I think someone under the age of 25ish, they can totally come back.
They are still developing mentally, still growing & learning.
Unlearning their parents' mental world & making a new one.
I don't think there's much to say someone who buys into a cult when they are more than 35 yrs old.
Lyonel Baratheon is rad.

The seller asks, βhow much will you give me for this stale bread?β Panel 2: the unsure employee replies, βtell ya whatβ I got a buddy whoβs an expert on this stuff.β Panel 3: a goose in a hat and sunglasses walks confidently through the shop entrance towards the counter.

Playing D&D with my kids last night, & they ran into a Knight who refused to dishonour himself with any petty lefts, lying, fraud or criminal acts.
They owe him 300GP, but he won't abide them cheating or robbing to get it.
It's fun watching them try to figure out how to pay him back.
You've always wanted to store your TTRPG dice inside a frog, admit it.
