It’s Kneesvember! OMG

My mom lived independently (91!) and still drove until the day she went into the hospital. Still very sharp and could be fun, but her anxiety about the most mundane things could often overtake her, no matter how we tried to reason it out. I miss the fun parts, but I remember the other parts, too.

And I will never be one of those “be grateful you still have a mom” people because shit is hard.

My mom died in July, and I miss her in lots of unexpected ways, but managing her huge anxiety every damn day is not one of them. You have allllll my sympathy.
