I buy Catalyst, but only to secure the rights to Shadowrun. I then team up with Pegasus Spiele to finally make a decent version of Shadowrun.
(after the expected failure, I use the rest of the money for a nice cottage on a secluded Norwegian fjord, so the guys with the pitchforks don't find me)

This machine can write sixty-five books an hour.” A conveyor belt at the front of the machine dispatches a continuous stream of books. Panel two: They walk across the workshop. The second figure, who is reading one of the books, says “but will people actually want to read this stuff?” Panel three: They have reached a second huge machine. “The real beauty of our integrated system” says the first figure “is that it also frees companies from the tyranny of human readers”. A conveyor belt at the front of the machine dispatches a continuous stream of robot readers, happily consuming the content from the other machine.

Yep. Same experience, often exactly the same people. For FOUR years now!

I feel a "Remote electric shock" plugin for Teams would be incredibly popular. Sadly, Microsoft seems unwilling to offer it.

At least people are still writing blogs and there's also enough OSR-related activity on Reddit (/r/osr) and ENWorld, so I catch at least some news.

Yeah, I feel after the exodus from Twitter, there's no longer the one public place where people hang out. Might be that Discord is the new place to be, but that doesn't work so well for me (IMO Discord is great for small communities, but terrible for larger ones).

I have incorporated all suggestions from reviewer 2, and I hope you find the changes an improvement to the manuscript as a whole."

Panel 1: A man finds a ghost reading a book and says "I thought you’d died?". The ghost replies "My Life has ended but I cannot pass over to the spirit realm when so much remains undone." Panel 2: The man says "You mean all those books you bought and never got around to reading?". The ghost turns to look at bookshelves piled high with books and says "It won’t take long. There are fewer distractions when you’re dead." Panel 3: A few months later... The man says "Is it me, or are the piles getting bigger?" (there are indeed more books than previously) "My Library card still works!" says the Ghost happily "But once I’ve read these I’ll start on the ones in the attic."

Admittedly works better with dice pool system (e.g. in Year Zero games, you can increase the damage for your attack by 1 for every additional success).

It's interesting enough that I want to take a look at the new 6th edition. Unsure if I will really run it, though.

Generally speaking, my favourite option would be:
3) do a fixed amount of base damage, more depending on the quality of the attack roll

But I assume you are looking for something in the D&D design space, so in that case, it would be (1), with maximum damage dealt on critical hits.

Don't think so. If it actually were 6e, I would probably be more interested. But it seems we're really getting 5e director's cut/HD remake (so they are right to claim it's not a new edition).
