Hardest part of a social media hiatus?

I haven't promoted my books for a solid 5 days. Which is like, years in attention-starved indie author time.

I'm rereading the Witches Discworld series at the moment! A classic, I feel.

And thanks for checking my work out! I do have my own site but like you said, it's hugely expensive to post to the US.

My work is available outside of Amazon though, if you prefer not to use them. I use Draft2Digital to distribute to Barnes and Noble, Kobo and others.

I grew up on Pratchett and Douglas Adams, thanks to my father. Big inspirations for me. Now I add little snippets of sarcasm and silliness into the narration of all my books, even when the plot is serious!

I've found engagement hard here. It's just now picking up.

Twitter/X is weird. It went dead quiet for me in January, then I complained and that tweet blew up so now it's okay.

Oh, hey, that'd actually be possible for me since that's 10 am here in the UK! I might give it a go!

Using a bridge extension to slowly import my Twitter people here.

The hardest part about switching platforms for me has been the prospect of saying goodbye to 29000 followers built over 5 years of activity.

Also... might be more lively with them here!
