14.10.2025 16:09 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0A photo I took of some leaves, with absolutely wild background highlights rendered by a modified Tessar with a helicoid.
I like how this black-and-white photo ends up looking almost like a chemistry experiment!
Lens used: Carl Zeiss Jena Tessar 50mm ฦ/2.8
Ahh thatโs 17 and 21 years ago now. Itโs fine. Itโs just strange that the test counts this as living a wild life.

12.10.2025 07:31 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Such funny results. Apparently Iโm a Wild Child, but most of the 100 activities on the list I engaged in werenโt even wild. Iโm probably somewhere in between Wildly Workaday and Moderately Mettlesome!

Yeah, itโs a nice mix of colors; some trees are still green, while others are already yellow or even orange or red.
Tomorrow weโre going to Bronte Creek Provincial Park to watch the beautiful colors of the trees. Iโm sure I will be able to take some nice pictures.
It was such a nice day to lie in the garden and look up at the trees. ๐
(And to take some photos with Van Gogh-style rendering!)

Misha prowling on the bird feeder. He doesnโt look impressed, but thatโs just what his face looks like. ๐คญ
I like the Van Gogh-like rendering of the background highlights!

Eiki prowling in our garden.
Iโm impressed with this lens! It seems to be sharper than my Helios-44-2; and in my experience, it swirls more readilyโor perhaps more obviously due to its larger cat eye bokeh.

Hereโs every typeface that Iโm currently working on (to some degree or another). Hopeful that theyโll all see the finish line before I start drawing 2 dozen new ones. Which one are you most excited about?
07.10.2025 18:13 โ ๐ 45 ๐ 4 ๐ฌ 8 ๐ 0Theyโre all amazing, but Iโm most excited by Budapest and the two Arny typefaces!
07.10.2025 18:52 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0I always have about 100 tabs open in Chrome, so Iโm often forced to restart Photoshop to free memory when it reaches 14GB (out of 16GB).
I finally upgraded to a Mac Mini M4 Pro with 48GB last weekend, and as it turns out, it takes 20โ34GB to sustain my toxic browser behavior. ๐

I hope she will continue the tradition and call her child A, and perhaps one day, I will get a great-grandchild called โ โ.
I need to get up and show my wife. ๐

I forgot to share this photo from last July, when I realized my dress and nails perfectly matched the new purse I bought a few days earlier.
I always try to coordinate my makeup with what I wear, but it always brings me pleasure when I notice accidental color coordinations like this.
There are so many squirrels in La Fontaine Park in Montrรฉal! I managed to take a cute picture of this little sciurine squire. ๐คญ
On the left in natural colors, and on the right an edit with more autumn-like colors which arguably makes for a better picture.

I photographed a Montrรฉal firetruck using a modified lens. It can no longer focus, but it can create some insane bokeh!

Mowgli and I came across this cat who wouldnโt let us pass until we solved a riddle.
Problem was, we didnโt know what the riddle was, as neither of us spoke felineโso we turned back.
Actually, Mowgli may have understood him, but I donโt speak Mowglorian, soโฆ ๐คทโโ๏ธ
Eiki and Misha. Can you tell they love each other?
22.09.2025 23:34 โ ๐ 2 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0But they look so fabulous!
Anyway, I found a loophole by wearing their exoskeletons instead. ๐คญ

21.09.2025 15:52 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 0 ๐ 0Ironically it just automatically changed โJimโ to โhimโโthe one time I actually meant to write Jim! (It just did it again).
21.09.2025 03:39 โ ๐ 1 ๐ 0 ๐ฌ 1 ๐ 0Auto correct on my phone is weird; it almost consistently changes instances where I write โhimโ into โJimโ.
Statistically itโs far more likely that I do mean to write โhimโ, isnโt it? Yet auto correct on my phone always goes, โSurely she made a typo now; she must mean Jim!โ
One of the most stunning chess clocks is the Tanner, in my opinion.
Here is one with the original box, featuring Cheltenham (1896) and De Vinne (1892), so I imagine this one is from the late 1890s to early 1900s.
Iโve never heard of this book before, but I came across the deluxe edition of โCritical Role: The Chronicles of ExandriaโThe Mighty Neinโ on Facebook Marketplace, and I love the cover and sleeve design!
