My article for the Business Reporter on redesigning and future proofing the workplace for #AI
AI can give us the “gift of time” and here’s 3 things we can do in the workplace with that gift 🤗

Meme of lady exasperatedly rubbing her head. The meme has text overlay of ‘The word limit is 3500. I’m 2000 words over’.
I’ve been writing lots of short form articles for business magazines lately.
But my goodness do I struggle with the word count.
I would rather write 5000 word articles all day long than condense my ideas into 700 words.
I have too much to say ☺️

Myself and the wonderful Sonal Shah speaking at international women’s day in Birmingham. I’m the blonde lady on the left in a black and white floral jacket holding the microphone.
Really enjoyed talking about how we get more women leading in Tech and AI at #iwdexpo this week.
But every time I speak, by far the thing that most people come to talk to me about afterwards is when I mention the importance of positive self talk and inner confidence.
Love that.

If you're at International Women's Day #iwdexpo next week please do come along to my talk about how we can advocate for more #WomenInTech to be leading in AI.
To shape the future of work we need diverse voices to bring change and drive progress.
Sorry #maga we need more DEI, not less.
My take on Trump and Davos? Surprising nobody, he missed the memo that Davos was meant to be about a call for collaboration.
The world needs to be united with a collective intention for what the end game is for AI and humanity.
Watch me try explain that here 👇

Our next president will have to be technologically competent, at least , in order for us to sustain our place in the world.
This will become increasingly obvious over the next 4 years as AI gets more powerful
This isn’t necessarily bad. Truly. Done right, we will be a better, more equal society
If I was consulting for planet Earth on how to make sure we get widespread adoption of AI - this is how I’d do it.
There’s a lot of work needed to build trust & articulate the vision. To reap the benefits, we need to see AI as a tool not a threat. 👇

Um, Google's AI Principles are gone.
I spent 5 years working every single day to align our work with the AI Principles as originally written. They were critically important to everything we did, including what we *didn't* do.

I was in my 40s, my son was 12 😮 when his first book was published. I don’t think even he realises how unusual that is.

Thanks Gary 🙏
It would’ve been more awesome had I known they were going to ask me to talk about tariffs and trade wars so I could’ve rehearsed 😞 but I think I got away with it 😏

Amazing experience being on Roundtable 📺 talking about AI and Davos, which I loved, and Trump and tariffs, which I did not love as much.

"AI has the power to transform society and the happiness of people in profound ways. If we have a collective agreement to use the technology to better our world.
It is possible but only with consensus & intention by those building it, those regulating it, and by us, those who will experience it."

Next week is the WEF World Economic Forum at Davos.
And MY new book is going to be there, being used as a reference in 5 different sessions about responsible AI.
Using the book to advocate for a global collective intention to only use AI for the good of humanity.
On Amazon and Waterstones 🤓

Companies in Germany spent a year testing a 4-day work week where hours were reduced by 20% but pay was not. Output remained at 100% or exceeded it. 73% of the companies plan to stick to the new schedule and the remaining 27% plant to tweak it or are still unsure.

Text Shot: Early fears that AI would rob humans of their creative agency proved largely unfounded, added the authors, citing the enduring popularity of literature and the revival of guitar music as proof. Those who do find themselves out of work because of AI may be buoyed by a trial set to kick off in Silicon Valet next month: a universal income funded by an AI tax. If successful, it will be rolled out across California. Morris is among those set to receive it. “I’ve had to override my cynicism about AI,” he admits. “It’s paying my wages.”
