This was my favourite advert of all time when I was 11 years old due to the snippet of Mick Mills celebrating Ipswich Town’s 1978 FA Cup Final win. I was watching TV one Sunday night with my parents, and blurted out “It’s Ipswich!” in delighted astonishment.

One of Kier Starmer’s 10 pledges in the 2020 Labour leadership contest, calling for an end to illegal wars and looking to make the UK “a force for international peace and justice.” Starmer, McSweeney and many other twats in the Labour Party subsequently used this list of pledges to wipe their arses with.

Number 4 in the 10 pledges that he never had any intention of honouring:

I‘ve never seen the film. My interest in it stems from the fact that it features Andy Robinson, the Scorpio killer from Dirty Harry, as a sexual health adviser and it’s always nice to see him in something where he’s playing a) a nice person and b) not dying.

I always remember someone doing a cut up of this film on YouTube and it featuring an overwrought Chloris Leachman saying, “My baby could be born WITHOUT ANY ARMS!”

Not to mention Harry Hill wondering what it would have been like had Sedaka been the first Neil to set foot on the Moon, instead of Armstrong.

Their best song, I think. Marginally ahead of Guiding Star and the first 30 seconds of I’m So Lonely.

He certainly was.

Are there vast numbers of Americans who look like this guy in Red states coming out and saying any of this? Because until those states start to look at Trump with the current Republican Party, and start clearly showing he doesn’t represent them, then nothing will change.

Very nearly tempted, after discussions with a client this morning, to get a TikTok account. It’s a bad idea though, I’ll be torn between ranting in some videos and posting utter gibberish/insanity in others. The type of stuff that I find hilarious to myself but which would mystify others.

Looking for Mr. Goodbar, The Night Porter, The Basketball Diaries, The Doom Generation and Betty Blue (which I turned off before it ended as I couldn’t handle it.)

With the exception of The Night Porter, all good movies in my opinion, but never to be revisited if I can help it.
