Super excited to share this story I completed in @elizgrice.bsky.social towards the end of my postdoc! Here we colonized germ-free mice with 50 unique bacterial species that represent the skin microbiome. Also my first paper as assistant professor @WashU!

Dabbled in Ralstonia only because it contaminated our AKTA...and I suspect it is common contaminant in low bioburden samples that have a "microbiome" (kitome). Its small size means it escapes 0.2 um filter sterilization.
