2,000 UM Health-Sparrow nurses and health care workers plan strike The Professional Employee Council of Sparrow Hospital-Michigan Nurses Association said its members will strike after five months of unsuccessful contract negotiations.

After UM Health avoided two strikes late last year, 2,700 nurses to strike at its Sparrow facilities in the Lansing region. A 5-day strike starting on Jan. 20.
