Kuwabara/Leorio: the comic relief, taller than the others, blue outfit, pathetic around women, not very strong but has a heart of gold

Hiei/Killua: monochrome-ish design with contrasting eyes, can and will kill you, bad family, plot point revolving around their sister, deceivingly baby

Yusuke/Gon: the protag, incredibly similar designs, really strong for reasons we don't understand, not afraid of fighting/no sense of danger

Kurama/Kurapika: the smart one, androgynous in design and voice, way smarter and more powerful than they let on, alternate form/hidden abilites

I started watching Hunter x Hunter recently, and I can't stop thinking about how the main characters are just the Yu Yu Hakusho gang, but a little to the left 😂
