RAIN WORLD WATCHER RELEASE LET'S GO

(Sorry for failing the art month, I've been too swamped with college unfortunately and the level of stress has made it not fun. I still hope to finish all the prompts eventually, I'm just not actually constraining to March!)

Decided to combine 3 prompts into one, since I fell behind and don't wanna stress myself too much trying to catch up! I'm still swamped with college and comms and life responsibilities haha

9, 10, 11: Echoes, Gourmand, Sky Islands

I have not forgotten Rain World art month! I do intend to catch up once I have the time- I'd rather make the art on the wrong days than stress myself over it (this is for fun!) or not do it at all :3

The way I see it, the ecosystem has punished me so often that I've earned the right to occasionally be an overpowered bloodthirsty maniac as Arti + perks :P

Thank you so much!! I love playing expedition with all the slugcat abilities combined as perks, then having 3 spears like this haha

Back to environments, unfortunately for me lol. This one was more fun though. I prefer more organic shapes

Personally I'd either manually alter/paint the normal map to change the shape the lighting thinks the surface is, or straight up paint highlights into the albedo (flat colour) map, depending on the style and use of the model!

Oooh, maybe Crowfeather? I always love seeing how different people design him

Tired of environments (especially since I'm slowly working on day 5 which is entirely environmental), I'm sooo much better at character art haha. Arti's my favourite!! And when I do expeditions with her I love having the three spear types like this. Thanks, perks!

(5 is more complex so it's taking longer, I find art months way more enjoyable if I let myself be lax with the exact dates)

Started on a different sketch before deciding to save it for another prompt later haha. So, I only had like 20 minutes to spend on this one in the end!

A simple lineless drawing of fanart for the game Rain World, depicting an Adult Noodlefly about to attack the white Slugcat, Survivor. The slugcat is holding a partially eaten Infant Noodlefly, and a living Infant Noodlefly cowers behind the Adult Noodlefly. The environment is a simple depiction of the region Sky Islands.

Gonna try to participate in the Rain World art month! I'm a huge fan of the game and between college and commissions I've not really been drawing anything fun.

For the most part these will be really simple, I also may end up missing some days and making up for it later

I really do wanna be more active online but 5 full-time, production heavy college classes eats up so much time and energy

With that done I can start actually posting stuff again lol I've been putting all my energy into getting this set up

tentatively considering leaving cringe culture behind this year to see what happens (I'm working on my commission page and including examples I usually wouldn't solely because they're "cringe")

If I fail to complete my challenge perfectly I'm taking this reply as advice lmao

Seeing a bunch of year art summaries and strongly considering deliberately challenging myself to finish something at least once a month just so I can do that at the end of this year lmao
