so far my fave quest is Zhongli faking his own death so he could stress test Liyue’s disaster management before his retirement, and then making us help him plan his own fake funeral that the Fatui bankrolled lmfao

for people who prefer a seemingly more vulnerable and human Gojo with a focus on angst, I think they’d like him a lot. I just don’t vibe with the direction of his focus bc it’s at the cost of his other relationships, including his students.

whole abandoned by his best friend and Never Moved On persona 😂 they added a non-canon scene to the play that I just didn’t agree with but it was very in line with the friendship angst train they were going for lol overall, sute!Gojo just feels more one-dimensional, which is why it’s my least fave

to Gojo’s friendly, goofier moments feels very forced and almost like an afterthought, as if he’s just entertaining his students when he’s not as focused on his own Past Traumas lol I just don’t find it compelling. he (or the jujusute script writer or both) also chose to lean very heavily into the

I keep a strict rule of never publicly commenting on other fan translators’ work or behaviour (unless they’re being intentionally malicious) but sometimes I see the way some act online and whew 😮‍💨 it’s tempting

anyway, next jujusute arc brings back the first years so I’m super excited LOL SATO RYUJI PLS BRING BACK YUUJI SOON 🥹

jujusute Toji was amazing 😂 I had no idea he was so acrobatic but the man did so many back handsprings across that stage, and to great effect

his monologues for Toji were also great

my unexpected favourite of HI jujusute wss actually the actress for Riko-chan 🥹 she took her cues straight from the anime and totally committed to it lol I loved her over the top line deliveries the most

jujusute and Miura-san’s interpretation of Gojo is unfortunately my least favourite of all the versions of Gojo we have lol but it’s fine, I am Not the target demographic for that version of Gojo and I can at least appreciate his vision

the problem with jujusute is the balance between the humour and the dark narrative doesn’t transfer well to 2.5D imo….and they take nearly all their script cues from the anime but there are Some Actors who prefer to do their own completely different interpretation so it’s sometimes jarring

just finished watched new JJK stage play and やっぱりこの篇はあまり好きじゃないね lol

it’s probably just an (un?)fortunate coincidence since Japan already had Obon earlier this summer lmao but depending on what his manga focuses on, maybe it could end up funny that it coincided with Ghost Festival 💀
