And had been on a 20 submersible expedition out to Titanic the previous year with the 21 Russians. And that was organized by a Canadian company that was 22 doing an IMAX film which was released under the title Titanica.

Learned that an anonymous outside expert on submersibles did an interview with the OceanGate Titan investigation, and they released a transcript, with all the names redacted. The first line of his first answer? "I'm sure you're familiar with my film Titanic."

I assumed 37 was just named that way because it's the special number everyone always thinks of when told to think of a random number

Overall: Yeah idk, not much to say about this one. I didn't care for the story much. The girls were cute and it was a little yuri, but there wasn't that much substance. The art was fine. Wasn't a waste of time but it's pretty forgettable.

Bad: Some of the characters were a little annoying because they were excessively "uguu".

Good: Shiki Aoki did a really good job with one of the main characters.

Hoshikuzu Telepath (2023): 5/10
One of the "cute girls doing cute things" shows of all time.

Not sure if it's a problem with specifically the adaptation, but I'm not interested in finding out. If you are though, maybe just read the manga because I have a feeling it's dealt with better there. If you really want Kowloon vibes then maybe you can watch this but otherwise it's a skip.

Bad: There's just too much shit going on. The sci-fi/fantasy/supernatural elements are way too prominent but also almost completely unexplained and the ending felt like it needed to have something really dramatic and climatic happen, but there literally just wasn't enough conflict material there.

Good: The vibes are very cool. This is, to my knowledge, the only anime that's set in Kowloon. I love so many of the characters' designs. Kujirai is absolutely gorgeous.

Kowloon Generic Romance (2025): 4/10
I went into this genuinely thinking that the title was going to be a little bit of a red herring and that the show would maybe have like one supernatural element or something but otherwise be a more or less normal romance story. Lol.

Overall: Fun watch. Give it a go if you are into horny vampires or steampunk vibes but otherwise it's pretty skippable.

Bad: There's a shitton of flashbacks. At least they're actually like, adding something new unlike something like Naruto, but the storytelling could be a little bit better in this respect. I assume that these sequences in the manga cut up the action a little less than they do in the anime.

Good: Story is not super complex but has enough interesting moving parts and the characters all have their aurafarm moments and understandable backstories and motivations, along with a dash of mystery and intrigue that's not too heavy-handed. Manages to stay as a mostly fun battle shonen

Shonen written by a woman goes really hard. The world has a bunch of familiar beats like vampires, steampunk, whatever, but the particulars are interesting to me. Vanitas is a fun character and this show is really fucking straight horny which kind of owns I'm ngl. We need more freak shit anime

Vanitas no Carte part 1 & 2 (2021 & 2022): 7/10

I've heard people say it's a little too long but honestly I think it's just the right length. Was never bored and each episode held my attention even if they weren't really part of any overarching plot.

It's an alternate story from the movie but it hits a bunch of the same points and has the same quality of visuals and such. Idk. Not much I have to say about this show. It's just really fun and I don't really have any major complaints.

Little Witch Academia (2017): 8/10
A delightful show. As expected, Trigger delivers on really fun motion and with a kind of ridiculous but ultimately simple plot.

It's crazy that "soy sauce" in Mandarin basically just means "sauce oil". Who decided that. I mean like, it makes sense but still.
