Splinter Cell Deathwatch (animated, season 1, Netflix) - nicely gory, much action, intrigue a bit short-lived in background. Would watch another season if they have it.

The great October Butter Hunt was a success, visited many small boutique locations and finally found it at Alō Farms, indoor growers with a tiny stand.

Today Spunky and I are on the grand butter hunt. She has always wanted that french butter with embedded salt crystals and apparently there is Georgia dairy that has a version.

The last bit of business before heading home. Turns out Spunky was born in Savannah so we went looking for her birth home, thought we had found it but now not so sure, we will be back when we figure it out.

Sunday we brunched at Collins Park Forsyth, good food and a famous (but being restored) fountain.

Topped off the evening with the Ghosts and Gravestone trolley tour for some spooky fun.

Then it was dinner at Common Thread, a bit pricy but the food was good and it was in a cool old house.

It was a long day today, Spunky and I drove to Savannah to meet up with the Gem Gal, but first a detour to the Savannah No Kings protest, no pics left my phone home for security. Very peaceful, maybe 2k and lots of signs and inflatables. Very few police too.

Have been a long time DDG user, saw a security note from proton about browsers so thought I would test out Vivaldi for a while, so far so good, wish it had a back button though since swiping seems inconsistent on iOS

Taken in Plain Sight (Netflix) - rather meh, all the angst, none of the action, and clearly no special skills.

Unhappy with @loweshomeimrovent.bsky.social Ordered a faucet to the wrong address, cancelled that and reordered. All looked good. Today I was checking on arrival but it was cancelled with no notice. CS said “system cancelled in error, you can reorder” not very sympathetic and pretty unhelpful.

LiG - Used a friend recommended plumber (licensed master plumber) external faucet w/ shutoff replaced, new disposal w/ reworked kitchen drain and vent, repacked the house main water valve, reworked a tub faucet, troubleshooting a different tub valve, all for ~$800 Low labor costs work for me

Play Dirty (Amazon Prime) - mobster heists, entertaining characters, much gritty violence, no heart of gold but a modicum of honor makes for a satisfying watch.

LiG - this weekend Spunky and I met some local friends at the Morrow Moon Festival. The most Asians I have seen in one place since we moved here. Good food especially the Vietnamese style joong (fresh from Houston lol)

Life in Griffin (LiG) - plenty of work around the house since we got here. Took a break to go to the Griffin Gun Show today, just a half mile from home. Small but fairly friendly with decent pricing.

Marvel Zombies (animated, Disney+) - much darker and bloody than I expected but very good nonetheless. Nice to see zombie versions of heros with an unexpected ending.

Superman (HBOMax) - definitely fun, especially the side characters, but well worth the watch for Krypto alone.

Ugh, when both my home teams lose close elimination games on the same evening that means my WNBA season is done. Oh well there is always next year as long as there is not a lockout.

Its win or go home, nothing like playoff basketball, Its ATL time

Anthem check, Indiana stayed out but Alanta went to the back, as they have all season long.

There is nothing like the playoffs, ATL is all decked out with additional seating. I added a different seat so Spunky and the good luck charm could sit together

Its the Spalding Co Fair w/ Spunky, right around corner from our house. Looking forward to the tractor pull and the Air Dogs. Its actually pretty big.

Last regular season home game it’s gone so fast, but at least I have playoffs to look forward to.

Another game to root against the Sparks, this time w/ Spunky and Kevin.

A Working Man (Amazon Prime) - pretty satisfying violence for a late night show, could have used a bit more blind archer.

Speaking of work on the house, the Tatum Trees has started dropping the trees that the arborists (Horticultural Hippies) identifed as needing immediate attention. Spunky is sad as many were large when she grew up here

Today was a milestone day as the last empty pod was picked up an taken away. We still have lots of work on the house and a good deal of sorting at the new storage unit but at least its all climate controlled.

One of the benefits of my seats is that Julie gets to meet all the celebs, especially ones with ATL connections
