I'm just trying to capture something special that I've never been able to describe with words anyway.

There just isn't enough space (or time, if I'm being honest) to explain everything I want to comment on with stuff like this. My eternal struggle. Oh well. All I can do is hope some of it comes through anyway, even if it's not exactly obvious.

They're upturned, showing the entire undersides, and pressed together at the sides with some of one footpaw resting inside the arch of the other.

Still have this irrational belief that studying footpaws and trying to recreate them in lineart is good for me. Can't help it at this point anyway.

I tried to show additional dimensionality and detail with overall thicker lines. Hope it looks good =3

The one closest to the viewer is stretching out the sole and digits as much as my shyness will allow, showcasing a lot of additional detail.

Another one where I tried a lot of new techniques I'm trying to teach myself to illustrate additional details I find interesting and meaningful. Wish I had the space to actually describe what those meanings are to me. Oh well. Enjoy the weird background?

Line art of my (human) footpaw set against a colorful, abstract background. The view is very close to the underside of my footpaw, so much so that it's excluding the entire rest of my body. The pose is fairly neutral, with my toes neatly tucked together, and the angle lets us appreciate the thickness of the padding towards the outside as well as the depth of the arch on the inside.

This one is technically a redo of one I did early this year which I liked the reference for, but the art itself is too primitive to share. Most of the time I don't want to redo something I've already done, but there are occasionally good reasons...

Been a while since I've been really free to do anything like this, but apparently the desire has been burning very intensely in the meantime. The challenging angles in this pose ended up receiving perhaps my most detailed effort. Hope you enjoy.

They're pressed together, one slightly lower than the other, and showing off my soles and some slightly-scrunched toes.

Managed to finish detailing this one all the way through. Went a bit bonkers with the background but, as with the lineart, it's meant to represent my feelings and why I do this at all. Not that I'm always so sure about that, heh. Lotta weird feelings :x

It would be nice if there were some way to share writing (as in, stuff longer than 300 characters) with the same sort of framing and interactivity as posting a photo or drawing. It's basically impossible for me to get out all my related thoughts about something in 300 characters >_<

Feeling rather distracted lately by the fact that in all likelihood, I'm about to hear that both my food benefits and medical insurance are going to be taken from me and I have literally nothing else to fall back on. Without that assistance, I will not survive. Thanks a lot, fascist fucks.
