Friday 13th Part 5: The One Without A Voorhees

Great album. I interviewed Jimmy for my fanzine once just after Todd left to join D Generation. He just kept laughing and saying Todd's in a cock rock band. There are some great songs on the album and I think it was when they hit the perfect mix of party/stoner songs and NYHC.

Watching Future Shock: The Story of 2000AD. A great insight into the comic, the 80s Vertigo talent raids, the near collapse of the 90s, the movies and the resurgence in the 21st century.

Akira is coming back to cinemas in April. I remember watching this as a teenager and being blown away at the brutality and the whole world it existed in. Anime wasn’t a big thing in the mod 90s in our region so this was mind blowing.

Tidying and found some records still boxed from moving. This gem was amongst them. Voorhees flexi 7" record Everybody's Good At Something. 14 tracks on a 7" is impressive. Massive early UKHC band.
I have a 90s Voorhees t shirt as well but medium is a bit small nowadays.
