At the School of Engineering, University of Birmingham, we hosted an engaging Scoping Workshop on Future Built Ecosystems, bringing together 50+ experts from diverse disciplines.

Dr Huamei Zhu, won a 2-year European Fellowship, funding €260k: M-Twin4US-- Maintenance-oriented Digital Twin for Underground infrastructure with Sensing, Machine Learning, BIM and Simulation – score 98%

Dr George Karagiannakis, Ph.D. won a 2-year European Fellowship, funding €260k: META-GRID: Climate resilience assessment and adaptation of the European power grid –96%

Dr Raffaele Cucuzza, won the 3-year Global MSCA, funding €430k: REACT - Reusing steel for Emission reduction through AI-driven Cutting-stock Tool —score : 97%

At bridgeUkraine, we are committed to fostering an inclusive impact by uniting over 45 practitioners, consultants, academics, institutions, and international bodies to accelerate Ukraine’s critical infrastructure recovery.

DiRect: A project aimed at facilitating infrastructure digitalization and data-driven resilience modeling, establishing a streamlined, openly available, web-based toolkit for the integrated use of emerging advanced technologies.

bridgeAdapt: Focusing on the sustainable adaptation of bridges deteriorated due to climate and human-induced damage, funded by the British Academy Fellowship & University of Birmingham.

AI4SURE: Developing AI-empowered data-mining techniques for sustainable and climate-resilient infrastructure peacebuilding.

RISKADAPT: A €2.5 million project funded by Horizon Europe HORIZON-MISS-2021-CLIMA-02, focusing on risk and resilience assessment of critical infrastructure and networks exposed to multiple hazards and climate change effects.

MetaCity: Exploring the integration of digital technologies in urban infrastructure to create smart, resilient cities.
