I worked for IndyMac (subprime lender in the late 90s - 2008). IndyMac and
other subprime lenders folded because of these types of practices. In the short term, the banks will make a lot of money, but they’re going to fold. People will lose their homes and savings. This is beyond a bad idea.

Trump needs to remember where the federal government got those federal funds - the states and their citizens. Blue states need to start holding back those tax revenues to the fed asap. The fed would be forced to fold if states like California and NY kept those revenues.

The 1st Circuit falls under her jurisdiction, so the DOJ appeal went to her. If she threw to the entire court, she would have overruled and the Trump judges would drag it out for months. As I understand it, this was a pretty savvy move on her part, trying to get things to move along quickly.

Read the order - KJ Brown knew the entire court would overrule her and drag their feet making a decision. So she issued the stay with a 48-hour expiration, allowing the 1st Circuit to make its decision (likely favoring SNAP). If after the DOJ appeals again to SCOTUS will be forced to move quickly.

Where does Tubby stand on Saudis gifting airplanes, riding on AF One or a building a base in Idaho? Anything? No?
