Dear American citizens, whatever you wish more German citizens would have done in 1933, do that now.

Keep an eye out - a lot of them are hardier than we realize and come back despite appearing to have completely bitten the dust.

I can’t keep track of days, but I can share my fave pottery pic of the week.

Take care of yourselves and do what you can with what you have.

A friend of my compared gutting of federal agencies to a wrecking a car: if you remove 30% of the parts of the car, it does not go 30% slower. It stops working.

One cool thing about the United States is that there are more people whose job is to deny healthcare coverage without having any medical background than there are people to provide healthcare coverage and they’ve somehow convinced people that the doctors are where the monetary waste is happening

Let the kids drink sewage water and breathe polluted air to make the 1% richer. This is the GOP way.

I think it’s more that many people have an unconscious urge to ignore things that are too bad to be true. Working in the ER, I saw lots of late stage cancer diagnoses come about this way, too. It’s barely willful - it’s more magical thinking than intentional ignorance.

There are times when you must speak, not because you are going to change the opposing side, but because if you do not speak, they have changed you.

Day 31:
Bubbles

I LOVE making these bubble mugs - they are chaotic but sorta fun and they always turn out great.

And I’m very sorry if you have trypophobia.

Also shoutout to @kmacqq.bsky.social for the beautifully dyed quilt in the background
