I was "No Party Preference" for a very long time. I changed my affiliation to "Democratic Party" in December because, frankly, it is the only US political party with a chance to actually make a difference. It may be easier to drop out than to scream truth to power. We do that at our own peril.

I have done that in an email to my, voting DNC members. I encourage you and others to identify your representatives to the DNC and speak up. We cannot be complacent/apathetic while expecting others to, as John F. Kennedy said, do things "not because they're easy, but because they're hard".

As an elected Democratic Party Central Committee delegate for a California Assembly District, and a baby boomer, if the DNC follows through with this action, I will consider resigning and joining others of like mind. The DNC abandons Gen Z at its own peril.
