Bink codec has a lot of features for paletteized video and alpha channels. These days I think the challenge would be streaming frames into gpu memory. You might want to treat it like audio -- keep the first few frames of everything loaded and load in the rest on demand when playback starts.

I had some specific reports that I needed to generate, and I was also using it to get an archive of all of the data in one place. For analysis I was just using AppFigures and apple's App Store Analytics since they had very good query and analysis tools.
When I did this I used the appfigures API from python to fetch the data, and then generate reports. These days App Store apis are probably good enough you don't need a third party.
C++ is really awkward to deal with REST/http apis. You can do it, but It's much easier in C# or python. I'd suggest using a C# or py stage to fetch+sync the data into some kind of store (csv file, json, sqlite, whatever) and then a c++ tool that reads that and does the processing and visualization.
