Waves crashing against rocks with a colony of sea palm, Postelsia palmaeformis, a marine algae.
Sea palms? Yes.
Kings? No.
Stay safe out there. Stay peaceful. Like marine algae firmly anchored to the rocks, unmoved by the crashing waves.
This is a proudly anti-fascist account.

Silene vulgaris, aka sculpit or stridolo, is a fast-growing edible plant.
Silene vulgaris, aka sculpit or stridolo, grows so fast you can harvest it every 2 or 3 days. Very young shoots taste a bit like pea shoots, but slightly bitter. The bitterness intensifies quickly as the leaves age, esp. in hot weather, so cut often!

Flower of Vasconcellea x heilbornii, babaco or babaco papaya. This hybrid only produces parthenocarpic female flowers, producing seedless fruit without needing pollination.

It's thought the spots are an adaptation to trick scale insects or other pests into thinking the plant is already occupied, so the insects move on to a plant that has more food and space available for them.
