King County voters deserve a fast and frequent bus network, that gets them where they need to go. So we need money for Metro!

If you are a renter in Seattle (and most of us are, like our Mayor!), please fill this out. It is available in 14 languages so if you know someone who doesn't use English, send them this link.
SURVEY CLOSES TONIGHT so please don't delay! Your landlord has pull with the city...so should you.
Getting King County on board with going to the voters for a supplementary funding source for Metro bus service has long been a goal of regional transit advocates. But making it happen this year will likely be a tall order.

Beau will be missed. π
It's with a heavy heart that we confirm the passing away of a long time member, a father, a husband, and a good man in Beau Morton. Those of us who knew Beau are struggling to make sense and find the words.
If you are able, please give generously to his family: gofund.me/e09662674

I guess weβre at the point in the campaign where pundits and consultants make excuses as to why their candidate is losing. π§΅

"In a city where adding a bus lane can often take years β if itβs able to move forward at all β riders werenβt letting this one go without a fight."
Absolutely correct.
This bus lane is important as is rejecting the idea that we can just administratively take up paint.
Pivoting away from full-scale bus base retrofits that go all-in on battery electric buses means that Metro won't face a fiscal cliff until the early 2030s. Metro's General Manager also framed the move as one that helps to preserve core bus services.

Itβs difficult to find the words to express how our unit is feeling right now, but weβll take a stab at it: shocked, disappointed, angry, gutted. @cascadepbs.bsky.socialβs choice to eliminate long-form written reporting is a massive loss for our community in a critical moment. tinyurl.com/LayoffFund

It feels like yesterday! Great, frequent transit starts with a G!
@seattletru.bsky.social was one of two community groups invited to table at the G Line Opening Day and it was, to quote the bus, very "special".
This is the kind of transit we deserve and want more of.
As someone who wears nothing but cargo shorts, a pullover, and a baseball cap: My only rebuttal is that a handmade @seattletru.bsky.social Iconic Yellow Shirt is *always* stylish.

Transit Riders Union @seattletru.bsky.social is raising alarm about Harrellβs proposed changes to Seattleβs MFTE program, calling it a bad deal. Raises everyone elseβs taxes for poor affordability targets, eliminates rent increase caps, and not enough for families.

I don't know how I missed this last week, but if this can't get you to vote for @wilsonforseattle.bsky.social, I don't know what can.
This is expresslyβnot even bothering to equivocateβ prioritizing suburban car traffic over transit that serves city residents.

People are *going* to move here. Unless Cascadia secedes--unlikely!--we are part of internal freedom of movement in the US.
Right now, people with money win and people without (A LOT OF) money lose. Katie wants to fix this, Bruce doesn't. It's that easy.
