Per the NHL Media site, Trevor Kuntar has been added to the Sabres roster and Colten Ellis has been placed on injured reserve.

The Sabres have signed Amerks forward - and Williamsville native - Trevor Kuntar to an NHL contract. One-year, two-way deal worth $775,000.

He's fifth in scoring on Rochester w/ 13 points (9 goals, 4 assists) in 24 games. His 9 goals are tied w/ Isak Rosén for the team lead.

Sabres coach Lindy Ruff on Josh Norris dealing with illness/soreness: "Not related to what he had earlier. We had a report he wasn't feeling well. And then in warm-up, he tweaked something and that was the point we had to take him out of the game."

Sabres coach Lindy Ruff said Jason Zucker played through a pretty significant injury last night. Said he’s dealing with upper and lower body injuries and will be out week to week.

The Sabres have recalled Isak Rosén from Rochester. Jason Zucker has been placed on injured reserve.

The Sabres have recalled Zach Metsa from Rochester, giving them an extra defenseman on the trip. Noah Östlund heads back to the Amerks in the corresponding move.

Radim Mrtka has been named to Czechia’s roster for the World Junior Championship. He has 12 points (one goal, 11 assists) in 12 games since being reassigned to Seattle (WHL), which leads all defensemen on the team.

Ruff said Tyson Kozak has been "nursing a little bit of an injury." Happened late in the Minnesota game. He said Kozak could play, but wouldn't be 100 percent.

"We’re at the luxury where we have another guy we can put in the lineup.”

Lindy Ruff said he anticipates they'll call up a defenseman to give them an extra on the trip, but it might not be until they head to Winnipeg.

Michael Kesselring won't be on the trip. He'll keep skating on his own here.
