Say what you want about #IOS26 and #liquidglass.
Apple is and always will be the master of small details and delight.
Using the gyroscope to project light on "glass" and the good old clock ticking in the app icon will always make me happy.

Why am I so excited like a baby whenever I get access to new products?

It can even be "I have no idea what I'm doing but I have an idea and it is [...fill in the blank] help me Obi Vibe Kanobi, you're my only hope" and see where it takes you.

What is your stop sign? How do you overcome it?

So if you want to vibe code something, open an account, start a project, give it a name, and type the first prompt.

It's part of a larger lifestyle (one that I have tried but not to the fullest) which Sagi tattooed on his skin "commit now execute later" which I might tell you all about later.

If it's a new design, open a new file and name it, add an empty canvas, and that's it.
If you're writing for social media, open the platform and type the topic you want to discuss.
If it's a new hobby, search it and call someone.

How do I even start?

That's what I'm thinking now, and what I was thinking when I jumped on the vibe coding train.

This post will not be long, but it contains an important lesson that I received from a mentor of mine almost 10 years ago, and it's very basic: Start!

Have you vibecoded a project yet?

13.07.2025 18:05 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

So I started.
Now that I've gained confidence beyond design and frontend, I'm ready to share my story.
In the following weeks, I will share my progress here as I go.

Along came #vibecoding and with it a complete mind switch, I'm not going to do apps for others, I'm doing it for myself.

I don't need someone to develop it for me (maybe not to start), I can do it alone, and help will come if I do a good job.

The past year, I have learned another lesson: I am the only one to blame for not doing something. I can use excuses as much as I like, but I knew deep down I am the only one to blame, or better, I'm the only one who can break that cycle.

I haven't found the right partner.

This idea is too early.

I will fail again.

It's been done before.

Too technical.....

I used my failures and reasons as excuses not to do it again.

I did learn what not to do (many times), and in recent years, I mentally repeated these excuses.

I tried to accomplish this dream in various ways, including building side projects with friends who helped me complete what I couldn't, but I failed for many reasons.

I'm building my own little vibe coding project. ๐Ÿง‘โ€๐Ÿ’ป
For years, I dreamed of making my own apps. As a product designer, it was always my dream to be a creative founder for my own product.

The only post I saw that was implemented correctly was by @splinetool and a group of web developers.

I strongly believe this will be the beginning of a beautiful new story in the world of interface and interaction design.

However, it shows how much they misunderstood how these new elements, which we can use in our designs, are so much more complex than just a masked texture and slight blur can provide. They interact with the rest of the interface.โฌ‡๏ธ

I promise it's the last post I will make on the topic this week, but I must.

The reaction to the initial closed developer beta touched a nerve and made me angry with the design community.

And it's nice to see how designers are trying their implementation of this design.โฌ‡๏ธ

So yes, I didn't get the Siri upgrade I wanted, and I am disappointed by Apple's recent innovations. There are indeed accessibility issues with the new liquid glass. So, let's not just follow social media trends - it's boring, whereas the new design system is anything but.

#Liquidglass is just one step in this direction. The attached video demonstrates incredible advancements in human-computer interaction within this UI implementation, one that honestly reminds me of how "materialUI" was first introduced.

11.06.2025 15:30 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

However, here's a crucial point: consider the broader trajectory of #UI design over the next 3 to 5 years. With Johnny Ive's Studio acquired by #OpenAI and the growing trend of generating whatever we envision with a quick prompt, it's evident our interfaces will be replaced soon.

11.06.2025 15:30 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Now that we've addressed that, let's focus on what's important. Frankly, I found this year's #WWDC underwhelming. I had hoped #Apple would introduce more innovations.

It's currently trendy to criticize Apple's design, particularly on social media, where professional designers have pointed out some accessibility issues with color grading. However, these can be resolved with slight adjustments in shading and the use of blur. #WWDC25

It is a shame that our industry is rushing to dismiss designers without even understanding what they're talking about.

I have a longer-form post coming on this topic, but I had to post this one too.

My entire social media feeds I filled with how #Apple has done a poor job in #accessibility. None of the critics went into the documentation and watched the explanatory videos on the topic. #wwdc25

Four years ago, we started using glassmorphism 10 months after it became trendy. I felt mixed emotions. I had long aimed to integrate this trend into a product, and now I've succeeded with Yup. It's a real trend now, though not one I started, but I did contribute to it.
