Chaotic scenes have erupted at Macquarie's today when their own Vampire Kangaroo was arrested.

Macquarie's known in the industry as the 'Vampire Kangaroo' for loading companies with debt and sucking out money for shareholders were notably furious.

💧Despite all this Southern Water hiked customer bills from April 2025 by a staggering 53% - money ending up in shareholders pockets and not reinvestment.

💧Southern Water spilt millions of plastic bio-beads (or nurdles) into the sea at a facility in Eastbourne. These nurdles are a by product of the Fossil Fuel industry as well as containing lead and arsenic.

💧Over an 8 day period in November 2022 raw sewage was discharging at 83 swimmable beaches for more than 3, 700 hours.
💧In December 2024, 58,000 people across the South East had their water supply cut in the lead up to Christmas.

Not content with sucking out the money on one water company this Vampire Kangaroo has bounced right into ruining another - Southern Water in 2021.

Macquarie are propelling the expansion of Farnborough airport in Hampshire. Whilst most of the world's population has never even set foot on a plane Farnborough is planning to add thousands of weekend and bank holiday flights, despite local resident’s clear and consistent opposition to these plans.

Southern Water is the failing water company whose long suffering customers have had their water supply cut over Christmas and again this month as well as repeated sewage spills and the release of “nurdles”, plastic fossil fuel byproduct onto beaches and into the Sea.

In the UK Macquarie’s investments include Farnborough Airport and Southern Water. Farnborough is the UK’s only dedicated private flight hub. Plans to expand now include a private jet service for pets.
