As a geology student, met hydrologists who were studying Powell (this was in the early 80s). They said between up-lake droughts, saturation by a thirsty Navajo sandstone, sedimentation,* and evaporation (it's in the desert), theory was the lake would be pretty much gone 2030. Pretty damned close.
