It has begun..

The World's Columbian Exposition that was hosted in Chicago in 1893 had an entire city of similarly spectacular, massive-scale buildings in this manner, right in the middle of Chicago. Due to the temporary nature of the event though, many were made of plaster, but were still entirely functional

Noo, that’s fine! Was it the Santa Monica pier? That area is actually really nice. It’s where i was when i went to the Getty villa! Generally though, lots of LA, at least imo, is kind of run down. There’s lots of poverty both in the people, and businesses, and then everything is concrete and spread

truee, truee. how did you like the cities in Cali when you visited? I don’t hate the place, but everything is soo far spread out

and then also just lots of cool stuff, cafes, etc! pretty good public transport as well, which is like completely new to me coming from Cali

Well, at least compared to LA, it’s actually walkable and feels enjoyable to be in. Architecture is really pretty, and there’s lots of parks and nature right in the middle of the city. Lotssss of young people as well- colleges and unis like every turn! Also very safe for a major city!

It’s the only major city I’ve ever been to outside of California (excluding NYC which I visited briefly when I was much younger), but I love it so much

LA is comparatively evil and needs to be wiped off of the map
