How would discrimination against trans people change this? It won't make women safer. And women whose physical bodies don't conform to arbitrary gender norms will be at even greater risk of harm.

Half of the trans community is trans men. The trans female athletic community is less than 1%. This is irrelevant to whether you treat segments of the population with respect and dignity.

You are fighting very hard for the right to your personal prejudices and that won't help anyone.

Again trans people aren't hurting you. The absolute worst thing you are being asked to do is simply acknowledge their existence and you seem to think that's a bridge too far even though I rather doubt you have much experience with the trans community to complain.

There really aren't plenty of examples. If you used anecdotal evidence to question nationality, religion or ethnicity, you would be making the same logical fallacy.
