Labour partnering with Blackrock with allow the company to privatise councils, asset stripping them, for short term gain, the same will happen to schools, bridges, roads, security, housing, healthcare. This is what Gove meant by 'emergency managers' being sent into areas with collapsing councils.

All public service inside the 86 free zones will be 'rescued' by Blackrock from the failures of democracy and the state.
This is state capture, a corporate coup, the endgame of Brexit, and it was Labour who finally played that card.

The things is local devolved government, outside of London don't have an elected chamber, like the London Assembly, so abolishing local town councils would also remove local democracy and replace it with a mayor outside of your local area that has potentate power, its all about removing democracy

It's removing democracy & access to elected representatives, removes accountability. Combined Authority boards are not elected. They r handpicked just like Freeport Boards, Integrated Care Boards-no political mandate, these unelected bodies r carving up UK & making decisions to benefit big business

Accompanied by a new round of local authority elections to give them democratic legitimacy? Or maybe they'll just be superimposed on the 84 Special Economic Zones and Freeports so beloved by Starmer and Reeves and their Tory creators with no democratic controls? @europeanpowell.bsky.social
