President Carter led an extraordinary life. His life provides each of us with lessons in humility and hard work. He will rest in peace and his legacy will endure.

President Carter used to fly-fish on my grandparents farm, he & my grandpa having met and bonded over their roots as humble farmers when my grandma was NEA President. He gifted the whole family gold peanut necklaces as a thank you on one of his last trips. RIP to a real one
