Why is it all the really good gay coming of age films come from Europe? They treat the subject with such honesty. I just saw Young Hearts tonight. It had me remembering so much about what that was like when I was a kid. Yes, I cried because that's what I do now days.

I've wanted to do a painting like this in quite a while. It's pretty minimal compared to most of my other work. It's inspired by a photo I took of a friend back in 1979. I'm pretty happy with the results so more is on the way.

You're an artist, Cody, and you have the courage and the work ethic. You write and record your own music, you do drag, you play live. I understand the feeling. I would imagine you will keep going, at least I hope you do. If you're like me doing music and art is something you can't help but do.
