I've been d e e p in the BG3 Brain Rot lately and have fallen into the deepend with builds and speedruns and honour mode runs

so I'm actually seriously attempting my own HM run, and naturally my Durge, Dame Dairy, needs the GOAT, Momma Milkers, to guide her through it all :' )

and look, I get it!! they're pretty and fun, and I used to really like going to see them. but my fleeting enjoyment is not more important than the comfort and safety of my family, my friends, and my community. I'd rather spend the day with people I love than see half and hour of loud sky glitter.

why you just shouldn't set off fireworks for fuck's sake: • triggering combat vets with PTSD (the irony of this one is why it's the first one I'm listing) • triggering for other people with combat/gun related trauma • disruptive and dangerous for local wildlife • disruptive and upsetting for pets, young children, and easily overstimulayed people in your neighborhood • the air quality in most of the country is already dangerously bad • usually made from non-renewable and non-recyclable materials

things you can do instead to celebrate America if that's really important to you: • participate in local politics, engaging with the very democratic ideals that this country was founded on • donate to organizations supporting veterans and their families, like the Wounded Warrior project • organize a group of family, friends, or coworkers to do a volunteer activity with • visit one of the country's 2,474 official state parks and take in the beauty of the land we're on • find out which indigenous tribes native are to your area and learn about their history and culture • watch a movie, read a book, or listen to a podcast about a topic in American history that interests you but you don't know much about

fuck fireworks. there are so many other ways to observe the 4th without them.

tbh now that I've gotten used to being back in the office, that part isn't that bad. and for some reason the traffic for my morning commute isn't bad either, plus I can get coffee. but at 4:30pm I want to be literally anywhere other than in my car, on the interstate, at a FULL GOD DAMN STOP.

look, I know there are more pressing things to be upset about and that the complaint I'm about to lodge is peak privilege

but oh my fucking GOD I hate commuting so much!! being done with work used to just be closing my laptop but now it's a 40min drive in shit traffic and it GIVES! ME! A! HEADACHE!
