Of course, that doesn't reflect everyone. There are bad actors who will not purchase the game once they've verified it runs well. But those are usually struggling students or people from countries where they cannot afford it and would not have bought it anyway.

Most games are unoptimized for PC. Spec requirements say one thing, but it doesn't always reflect the user experience. Especially in an age of UE5 being the most common engine.

For a lot of people who are at or slightly below the recommended spec, they're want to test the game before committing.

I just finished Final Fantasy IX for the first time. I can 100% say that it is the best pre-PS2 FF game.

It's my goal to play every FF in order, so next I'll be playing FFX to completion. I've played it a number of times, but I've never actually finished it. I'm pretty excited to play it again!
