…so I’m a bit concerned how this will affect the expectations of BDSM-curious folks because the whole „too much talking kills the vibe“ trope is a surefire way towards falling into the arms of a psychopath and ending your exploration in trauma, but let’s see how the movie deals with all that.

Also: I‘ve read the book (Box Hill) and it deeply over-romanticises the Dom basically refusing to speak and explain things in what seems to become a 24/7 TPE relationship in the end, which is absurd in a practice based on communication and negotiation…
