Never heard of a corn soup. First thing that comes to my mind is a can of corn with all of that water inside... ๐Ÿ˜… But maybe it's somewhat similar to champignon soup? ๐Ÿค” Champignon soup is tasty ๐Ÿ˜

It's chill at the beginning until you get to the point where it's pure mess and there are always those 3 stations that are permanently overpopulated no matter what you do ๐Ÿคฃ

I'm sure every next square will be more square so eventually you'll get to full squareness ๐Ÿ˜
But lol, tbh I'd also want to try crocheting or knitting someday. I've always seen my mom and grandma doing this but these patterns always seemed like dark magic, especially to little me ๐Ÿ˜‚

Well, it is squarish. Definitely more square than round ๐Ÿ˜‚

I donโ€™t want to jinx it, but after passing my first B2 exam this week, I think it is safe to slim down my collection of A0, A1, A2 & B1 Dutch textbooks & graded readers. So if anyone in the wonderful language learning community on here would like them then please just let me know! ๐Ÿ™‚ #langsky

That's why I don't buy Ubisoft games on Steam. If I have to log into Ubisoft Connect anyway, then I think it's better to have it directly there - the less steps in between the better.

For this game jam I intended to make a simple but polished game. The topic turned out to be that stupid though that for the first time ever I completely lack game jam ideas that are achievable for me... I'll be happy if I manage to put anything together at all...

One of the parts of being a polyglot is finding out which methods are universal for all our languages and which aren't. I'm at the moment trying to figure out how to improve my listening in Turkish because even in Japanese it feels more natural and easier

Too many thousands lol. But now I know it's not a good idea for me to have too many of them as well as to have decks for languages I don't focus on. I feel I still need to rest a bit more though ๐Ÿ˜„

I've recently learned two Japanese words that I find particularly fun.
First is ่›‡ๅฃ with ่›‡ meaning snake and ๅฃ meaning mouth. The whole word means tap/faucet.
Second is ๆ็ซœ with ๆ meaning fear and ็ซœ meaning dragon. The whole word means dinosaur.
Gotta love Japanese vocab ๐Ÿ˜‚

No wonder I can't use all that grammar in my output if coming up with use cases that actually fit my life feels that painful ๐Ÿ˜† But I believe that with practice it'll become easier and I'll see myself actually starting use more advanced grammar ๐Ÿ˜„

05.02.2026 14:33 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Thanks for the advice! I'll make sure to properly work with my sentences once I have them

02.02.2026 10:40 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

What's important, I'll try to make these sentences fit the contexts I usually use Japanese in so that it's actually easier to recall them in a given context. I'm tired of using more advanced vocab in those repetitive simple sentences ๐Ÿฅฒ

I've noticed that even though I'm halfway through the N3 on Bunpro, my output tends to be very basic grammar-wise. So what will I do about it? I'll go through all the grammar points I've done on Bunpro, find the ones I'm not comfortable using and make like 10 sentences with each of them

Immersion is there to show you what you don't know yet so you know what you need to study more

26.01.2026 14:53 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Lol that's probably a sign for me to wait until it becomes more natural for me too ๐Ÿ˜… Btw do you do only grammar or vocab as well?

23.01.2026 22:39 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Fair enough ๐Ÿ˜‚ Personally I can't think of any at the moment (until I actually see one) but from kana it would be easily ใ. Despite 10 years of experience I can't remember a single time I was content with the outcome and generally I picked up kana quick easily ๐Ÿ˜†

23.01.2026 22:33 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Is it because of the stroke order or stroke shape?

23.01.2026 19:59 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

According to official JLPT to CEFR mapping higher N3 and lower N2 map to B1 so it's probably not as high as it seems but probably accurate. Still B1 is imo the minimal level for native content to start being usable so it suits me. For me A2 to B1 transition is the most painful, it'll be easier later

23.01.2026 19:56 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Last year I struggled with adding vocab on Bunpro because N3 became more abstract somewhat random words. But recently I thought I could use kanji I already know to build up on them and add new words in batches containing at least one known kanji and so far it seems to work fine

22.01.2026 20:46 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I mean all types of content, especially books, articles and videos. And I feel like vocab gaps are still the main obstacle for me. For kanji I use Kanji Study app on Android so I can easily track which ones I know and which are still problematic for me

22.01.2026 20:46 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

It's already 10 years for me (๐Ÿ˜ฑ) and I feel exactly the same. Fortunately I feel like I've finally found a way that kinda works so I hope to manage to finish N3 decks on Bunpro this year so I have enough vocab and grammar knowledge not to be lost in real content ๐Ÿ˜‚

22.01.2026 20:23 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 2    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Yeah, it's a big advantage of books/series I think that the vocab is finite and mostly repetitive in one topic so what is new for you eventually saturates. I also came to the point where I hardly find 2-3 interesting new words in an episode so I guess I'll be able to focus on actual listening ๐Ÿ˜„

13.01.2026 11:51 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 1    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 0    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

Haha, I get it. Sometimes I wish I did flash cards out of them but I'm too sick of it at the moment ๐Ÿ˜‚

13.01.2026 11:47 โ€” ๐Ÿ‘ 0    ๐Ÿ” 0    ๐Ÿ’ฌ 1    ๐Ÿ“Œ 0

I watch a Turkish series as a lightweight immersion learning. I don't want to incorporate SRS in that because I'm afraid of a burnout so I just jot down the new words and hope I'll remember them. Sometimes I look up a word and remember I checked it a few episodes earlier. It has to stick eventually๐Ÿ˜‚

Lol, I mean, the world has a lot of creative people if reading books = creativity ๐Ÿ˜‚ Or to go even further, everyone uses a language so everyone is creative ๐Ÿ˜‚
