15.06.2025 04:52 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0I realized something recently, which is that we're building AI tools completely backwards.
While I was aware that there's some de-skilling happening already, I finally clicked a bunch of pieces together and decided to write this to talk about how we can do *better*

We canβt predict how the AP2 version evolves. At some point we may need to consider the BSL version - this where the risk lies. License legal reviews, usage restrictions, cost model can be significantly impactful. Makes NATS a very difficult choice for core infrastructure now unfortunately.
26.04.2025 21:59 β π 0 π 0 π¬ 0 π 0The threat of BUSL relicensing is the opposite of a commitment to OSS. CNCF donated projects have been a risk reduction strategy when choosing core infrastructure technologies. This uncertainty has real world impact to orgs thatβs have chosen NATS. The sooner you can provide clarity the better.

Turns out those whiz kid DOGE "geniuses" couldn't pass the basic, entry level tech screen it takes to get hired at 18F.
They didn't even meet the bar to *get an interview*.
18F, the federal governmentβs technology shop, was demolished by Muskβs team shortly after midnight. It was a cost-recoverable org, charging agencies for their expertise, using a consulting model. Its cost to government was negligible, its benefits huge. My team there once saved DoD $500 billion.
01.03.2025 14:25 β π 6278 π 2381 π¬ 89 π 194We call upon our elected representatives to stand with us and to insist upon adherence to the rule of law and the legal processes and procedures that ensure orderly change. The administration cannot choose which law it will follow or ignore. These are not partisan or political issues. These are rule of law and process issues. We cannot afford to remain silent. We must stand up for the values we hold dear. The ABA will do its part and act to protect the rule of law. We urge every attorney to join us and insist that our government, a government of the people, follow the law. It is part of the oath we took when we became lawyers. Whatever your political party or your views, change must be made in the right way. Americans expect no less.
The American Bar Association has just called upon every attorney, regardless of their political views, to join them & stand up for the rule of law & at minimum insist that our government "follow the law."
Every lawyer has an ethical responsibility to do so.
