The Voting Rights Act was signed thanks to the Civil Rights Movement’s work to give voters of color, especially Black voters, the political power we deserve.

The Constitution promises us a government by and for the people — the Voting Rights Act brought us closer to this ideal.

Republicans are met with genuine rage as voters confront them over brutal spending cuts and broken promises in packed town halls. GOP officials label this uprising as “Democrat theatrics” instead of facing the fallout of their own failures.
