Continuing with the underwear sewing, I want to make some matching bralettes to go with my undies. I'm torn between either Primrose Dawn Kori & Patterns For Pirates Roller Derby bra. Can't find any reviews on either, so asking the #sewsky community for opinions & reviews, if anyone has made either

2 pairs of underwear. One rainbow print with yellow leg bands and green waist elastic. The other blue and pink graffiti style with the word 'peace' and peace symbols, blue waist elastic

Finished off the elastic on 2 more pairs of undies today. Another pair of #waves&wildwonderundies in the shorts style. The blue pair are #primrosedawntanja boyshorts. Really loving making these. Quick, practical and comfier than shop bought knickers! #sewing #garmentsewing #sewsky

My machine should get the credit for the neat topstitching! It's a good pattern, the instructions for the fly are really good. Have I managed to make something fashionable for a change!?

I didn't like the way the full elastic waistband pulled the button placket out of shape, and wanted to have a 'real' jeans look to the front. Attached elastic to the back waistband piece only so the front would remain flat.

I'm back after a long sewing break. First finished garment of the year are these #frenchnavylangston trousers. Used the reversible denim to add some cool highlights. Made some changes to the waistband from the pattern. Details in comments.

I'm sure my latest sewing project is cursed, so taking a break to work on my Christmas knit. Been wanting to make a sock weight Flax for ages. Surprised at how much I've managed to do in a week. But will I get through the body and sleeves in the next month without getting bored? #knitting #knitsky

I finished these #frenchnavylangston trousers a while ago and have been wearing them a lot! A very wearable mock up! No adjustments needed as I love the relaxed fit. Perhaps a slightly narrower waistband, but this may sit better with the heavier weight denim I'm using next. Continued in comments

Thanks. It took a look of re-reading the instructions and a few sessions to get it finished. So much top stitching! I think it helped that the fabric is pretty forgiving. I was thinking I can change the zipper pull if needed, even if it's just snipping off the ball end!

First attempt at a fly zip. I don't think I did too badly! Perhaps a touch more overlap needed and a tidier topstitch. Think I might regret the zip with the bobble pull, but I wanted to use something I already had in my stash #sewing #garmentsewing #sewsky

New favourite thing I've made! Wasn't getting on with the 70's western shirt, so decided to use this McCalls pattern I've made before & drafted my own yoke. Fabric was a remnant, so happy I was able to get the cowgirl on both sleeves. Brain on collar=happy accident #sewing #garmentsewing #sewsky

Glad this is a mock up, because I have really fucked up this collar. I should have traced on the stitch lines. The point where the stand meets the collar was pure guesswork and my guess was wrong! I'm now not really sure I like how it sits anyway. Time for a rethink. #sewing #garmentsewing #sewsky

I spent the day with my mum at The Creative Craft Show. Made it out with only a modest haul! I've had my eye on this pattern on Threadloop for a while. The stand had a pair made up in the gauze fabric, and it looked so good. So I had to get some to give it a go #sewing #garmentsewing #sewsky

2 knitting projects: one sock that is currently just 3" of leg cuff, and a vintage sweater I've been working on for about a year. In sewing, I only have 1 shirt on the go, as long as we're not counting the ever growing 'I'll finish it later' pile in the corner.....

Simplicity 9923 vintage pattern envelope. Western style shirt pattern

This is the pattern. Currently working on a mock-up using some leftover shirt fabric. I haven't gotten as far as the collar yet!

It's the first time I've ever come across this, and I've made a lot of collared shirts. The pattern is a western/cowboy shirt, so I guess it's kind of in-between a tailored and relaxed fit? Guess we'll see how it turns out!
