My school board meeting is packed! With amazing educators and wonderful community members here (uncomfortably) alongside some Turning Point USA… people.

We’re definitely seeing the highs & lows of humanity here.

I went to a meeting last month, then to a Marana board meeting where I signed up for a PRICE group - Pima Resists ICE.
Take Action Tucson had a notice about it, too.
I’ll look for a link… when I get a minute.

I can’t attend the Marana meeting because I’ll be at this meeting supporting ALL Amphi students and employees.

A kindergartner’s badly scraped up chin… that didn’t bother him in the least!

This adorable kindergartner fell and, unbothered, kept playing. I called him over and he bit his lip so I could get a good picture of his chin.

When I showed him the picture of his chin he said, “Oooh! That looks like it hurts!

It was (mostly) fun, but I feel confident when I say that the kids have most definitely NOT gotten it out of their systems.

Dear Fellow Educators,
Today our principal had a meeting. Before she left, she told the kids it was day 67 of the school year. She even offered that if someone said “1,2,3,4,5“ that they could say “6 7”.
This is apparently payback for some pranks we’ve played.
She got us good.

This is my mom’s rescue cat, Esperanza.

I’m pretty sure she’s thinking I should get a better camera if I want to take pictures of her.

There’s bern a big push for teaching critical thinking skills in the past few years, but the pressure on educators on test scores is still huge. Ugh.
