- "Would there be no Pas Tasta without six impala?" To explain who they are, there are an internet-based band/collective that's sometimes referred to as "a symbol of the post PC Music generation". It's made up of five members: Katt, Milkfish, Helvetican, Script and Neutra, and is infamous for their Pas Tasta and Bring Me the Horizon remixes. Phritz: I think artists like Hakushi Hasegawa and Jeter-san (from peterparker69) have a hard to reach presence, while Six Impala's image remains anonymous but friendly. That's where our position's slightly different, but without Impala, Pasta wouldn't have existed. It has influenced us to the point where we said "Let's do something like them in Japan!" The idea of a group of stray desktop musicians (DTM) is appealing, and while it's clear that a particular member of ours contributed the most to a particular song, there's also the sense of unity in Impala's overall musicality. The overall presentation of it, visuals included, is excellent, it's a cool project. I take a lot of inspiration from them, I was conscious of their existence while making Good Pop and Grand Pop. -Before or at the time of Pas Tasta's formation, did any of the members mention Six Impala? Phritz: Yes. Hirihiri: I liked all the members and even looked up to them. Phritz: I'm pretty sure all of them haven't met up in person, so this is the first time we'll all be meeting in Japan. The first time Pasta performed was remote, so we wouldn't have any opportunity like this in the future. I wonder how we'll perform this time...

The Hottest 100 winner this year thankfully has a misheard lyric.

I'm from gen z and I honestly didn't care about most of the songs, except for the Sleep Token, Ninajirachi and Playlunch ones. A real absence of metal, punk, hiphop/rap and other genres this year.. :(

Yeah, it was my introduction to Playlunch (still need to listen the album it came from), and it would've been pretty iconic for a number 1.

If Playlunch does not claim top spot in the Triple J Hottest 100, it will confirm that 2026 is broken. No pressure.

support what she does as a person, and something about them discovering their identity kinda stuck with me as an outsider, it felt satisfying, you know? It's like I felt more connected with it.

what's on the radio nowadays (in my personal opinion xP). I adore it that way, how it's personalised to her, and I appreciate the variety on here. And I truly understand and even respect what she has to say, especially on "self-identify". I'm very happy that she met the people who genuinely 3/5

forget nearly everything I've done in my teens and start anew in my next chapter. It's an utterly hopeful and wonderful record, not only for the production, but also for Polly's potent storytelling. I feel bad for not checking them out sooner, as the songs on here sound 10x better than most of 2/5
