According to Wildran, Pulstar 2 and Blazing Star were two different projects. As early as 1995 (the year Pulstar was released), Pulstar 2 had already been (more or less) announced in the NeoGeo CD version of Pulstar and graphics had been created, but the Pulstar 2 project was rejected by SNK
